Toast was built as a basic test track after an impulse buy of a Bachmann 009 quarry Hunslet. It's a simple loop and one siding affair. Just enough for running-in and testing the growing amount of 009 stock I'm beginning to assemble in anticipation of building a larger layout. It's also been used as a testbed for my first attempts with a static grass applicator. Tiny layouts like this are quick and easy to build and are a good way of practicing and improving your modelling skils without using up much valuable time and resources.
