This Layout was built around ten years ago, as a stop-gap project. It is now performing that role again, while I build my next layout, which hopefully will be ready next year. Watch this space!

 

Designed purely as a home layout, and never intended exhibition. The whole layout is on one 2m long board. It just fits in my car! The buildings were constructed largely from card kits; some being adapted the suit the space.

Operation is simple – but great fun. Each wagon has a corresponding card.

 

A train arrives onto the layout from the Fiddle Yard, and is put away. The next train is made up by shuffling the cards of the wagons already on the board, then laying out five of them. The corresponding train is then made up to match the cards, and departs to the Fiddle Yard. The whole process then starts again.
