Die Keinnamebahn is a fictional Continental narrow gauge railway
that runs mainly German/Austrian/Swiss locomotives and rolling stock.
The layout is 3.2m x 0.25m in size and is constructed from 8
self-contained baseboards. The layout is controlled entirely using DCC
(Digital Command Control) equipped locomotives, point controllers and
DCC controlled servos. Only a pair of wires connect the layout to the
controller, the control signals and operating current propagate between
the boards using the brass pattern-makers’ dowels that locate and
connect each board together.
The layout fits into two dedicated transport/storage crates and is
displayed on two 6ft folding tables. The whole system capable of fitting
in a medium estate car.
