J
Tracy & Sons - 00
This
layout represents one corner of the industrial complex o J Tracy & Sons. If
the name sounds familiar, that's entirely intentional. Look out for some
familiar vehicles in unfamiliar guises!
It was
designed from the outset as an exhibition layout that could be operated
equally well at home. As such I leant heavily on Iain Rice's 'Cameo Layouts'
book during the build. The operating system was also shamelessly stolen from
'Gillan & Brown', an 0 Gauge layout built by Romiley MRC.
Each load
being delivered to or despatched from the factory has a corresponding card.
These are shuffled and wagons chosen to match. The train is then marshalled
until all the loads are dealt with. Then the whole process starts again.
